Discussion guidelines
How the Lacspace community works — what makes a good question, what gets an answer, the limits that apply, and how official answers from the Lacspace team are marked.
Anyone can read. An account is needed to take part.
Every question, answer, reply and vote count on this site is public and needs no account to read — including from search engines. You only need to sign in to post an answer, like a reply, or ask something yourself. Starting a new discussion also needs a verified email address; answering does not.
Ask the question you would want to find
A title of at least 15 characters that states the actual problem — “LSKhata GST export is missing a column” rather than “help”. Then at least 15 words explaining what you tried, what you expected, and what happened instead. Posts that are only a link, or whose body just repeats the title, are refused, because nobody can answer them.
Check whether it has been asked
When you start a question we show you existing threads that look similar. Reading one is faster than waiting for a reply, and two threads asking the same thing split the answers between them so neither ends up useful. If an existing thread is close but not quite yours, say so in your question and link it.
Answers explain, they do not just agree
An answer needs at least 6 words. If you are agreeing rather than answering, use the like button — that is what it is for. If you link to something, say what it shows, so your answer still helps after the link dies. Someone will read this in two years with the same problem.
Marking what worked
Whoever asked can mark the reply that solved it, and the thread then shows as Solved. Separately, the Lacspace team can pin one reply as the ★ official answer — that is the one we stand behind, and it is shown first. The two are independent: you may accept a workaround we would not recommend, and both stay visible.
Who speaks for Lacspace
Replies from the Lacspace team carry a Lacspace Team badge, and replies from Lumi AI are marked as AI. Nobody else can post under those marks. Everything without a badge is a community member speaking for themselves, not for Lacspace.
Limits
Up to 5 new discussions a day and 20 replies an hour per person, and at most 5 tags on a post. These are set where a real participant never notices them and a spam run stops dead. Titles in ALL CAPITALS are refused.
Review, and what gets removed
New discussions are read by a person before they appear publicly, so there is a delay between posting and going live. Replies appear immediately. We remove advertising dressed as a question, abuse and personal attacks, anything that publishes someone else’s private information, and content that is not legal to publish. We also take threads out of search when they are too thin to help anyone — they stay readable at their link.
Your words stay yours
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting you allow us to display it here and in the Lacspace One apps, and to show it in search results. You can edit or delete your own posts and replies. See the terms and privacy policy for the full position.
